Live Your Truth

You know how you go through experiences and you look back on them and it feels like it's almost a dream, it feels unreal?
Tonight I keep thinking about Saturday night. Saturday night I had the opportunity to Witness the accomplishments of 6 people who were struggling in life just a few years ago.
One of there was a man named Justin who made the commitment to himself and his family to get healthier. He would put his son in the crib every night and tell him that he was going to get healthy for him. I couldn't help but tear up when he said that for six months he was lying to his son and he knew it. He finally found the determination to get started after he survived a car accident. He didn't want to keep lying to himself or his son.
I keep running into stories like his, where some HUGE thing happens to compel people to finally make changes in their lives.
Being able to lose over 150 pounds, improve and prolong his life is am amazing accomplishment in and of itself, but he won $100, 000 Saturday. He won because he had the courage to try.
This is what he had to say to us.
"No matter where you are in your journey, you don't have to settle for where you are. As long as you love yourself and believe in yourself, you can achieve anything that you want to achieve. Don't sit there and look at someone and wish that you could be like them. Don't compare yourself to someone else. Just be the best 'you' that you can be. Get up each and every day, work out, eat right, and good things will happen."

Life has to feel like a dream for him right now. He is healthy, happy and 100k richer. I am so full of emotion and determitnation not only for myself, but for all those around me to have happier, healthier lives. It's so hard when I know I can help people and they put me off or don't believe in themselves.
Don't wait until some crazy thing in life compels you to make the changes you know you need to make.
