Whenever I hear someone blame others for their lack of success it makes me cringe and think to myself "you are ridiculous" you have the power to control every choice you make in life. You choose what you spend your time on and who you spend that time with.
I love this quote by Darren Hardy because it solidifies everything I believe about the way that I live my life. I am not a product of the people around me, I am a product of myself. I can choose to follow the path that was laid out for me, or I can choose to forge a new path. I choose to push ahead, cut through all the crap and keep my feet moving. I choose to make my life what I want it to be. I choose not to fall into that same trap of living paycheck to paycheck, of wondering how I got fat, of filling my mind with negativity from media. I choose to rise above, to be different and to be that beacon for others to look towards.
I want to help uplift people, make their lives better and bring them with me. I want to show people what true happiness in and teach them how to rise above everyone and everything that drags them down.
I have that fire burning in me, because of ME.
