Spring Into Fitness















I was in my garden today since it was actually nice enough to be outside. Seriously 71 in February?? I'll take that over snow any day!!  Anywhoo, I just kept thinking how little work I really have to do in my garden.  There are a few weeds that I gotta pull out and I need to add manure but, other than that...I'm set.

I thought the same thing last year, got everything planted, and squirrels ate almost everything!! BOO!

Well, what the heck does this have to do with being healthy?  In the summer at least half of what I eat comes from my garden, it's so much easier to eat a good variety of healthy foods when you have that food right outside.

But it all goes to wast and nothing happens if that initial effort is sabotaged.

A few years ago I was in the mindset that I could eat all the junk I wanted as long as I worked it off by exercising.  I love food, always have, and there was no way I was going on a diet.  I looked ok from the outside, and even though I was seriously feeling awful, NO ENERGY, I didn’t feel like doing anything! The couch was my best friend, I had the worst eating habits and even though I worked out, looking back I never pushed myself. Anytime I would see a bit of progress, for some reason I would binge.  That self sabotage cycle has gone on forever!
Sometimes, I would do a 12 minute workout just to say I did it.
I have never been overweight, but sometimes I feel like having a body that hides the unhealthy lifestyle is worse. I could feel myself justifying the bad choices because they didn’t affect my physical appearance. I could, however, FEEL what those choices were doing to me, and to be honest sometimes I just didn’t care. I just wanted to eat that 12th cookie because it tasted good! I enjoyed learning about being healthy, but just had such a HARD time incorporating everything I KNEW into my life.

I was STUCK in a rut and was desperate to get out! 

I was looking for some way to get healthy and be accountable for my choices.  I was not in a position to pay out big bucks for anything and so when the opportunity to make money while becoming healthier popped up, I couldn't turn it down!

One thing I was not expecting to get out of it was a super food powerhouse shake.

I don’t make posts about Shakeology much, and I guess it’s because I don’t want to be judged. But you know what? Shakeology is amazing, so you can judge me all you want, but before you do, educate yourself about it!

Before I started drinking it I was always concerned about getting the right amounts of vitamins, minerals, probiotics, proteins, and holy moly I would go to the vitamin store after I researched a vitamin and I can tell you that I almost had anxiety thinking about how expensive all of those things were.
So, I would just settle for my $20 protein shake and a multivitamin.
I never actually noticed any difference in myself when I was taking vitamins or the protein shakes. I just did them because, well that's what everyone else was doing.
The cool thing is, within a week of drinking Shakeology I noticeably had more sustainable energy.
I have never had a dip in my milk supply with breastfeeding, like I did with Boston.
I have also noticed huge improvement with my digestion(ladies you know what I'm talking about, lol!)
There's not a protein shake out there that can give you sustainable energy, reduce inflammation, actually prevent disease, improve your digestion, replace your multivitamin, be 100% natural, AND actually taste good!
Today I actually watched a training on all the ingredients and their benefits, and I am so glad that I found this!!  I cannot be more thrilled with how it makes me feel, but just knowing that it is working on more that I cannot see, naturally, is sooo worth the $4 a day for it!  And these are your backyard garden ingredients either!


I'm so glad I took action! I found that I was needing that accountability and support of like minded women surrounding me and gong on this journey with me. I now have my energy back, I don’t fall asleep on the couch on a regular basis anymore(There are those occasional nights where I get absolutely no sleep, so I nap, haha!)  I have motivation to DO things. I’m not stuck to the couch anymore, wondering "what is wrong with me?", and "why I don’t want to do anything". I have motivation to workout, eat healthy, to say no to junk food, because I know how bad it makes me feel!


I do not HAVE to give up the food I love!!  I'm not gonna lie, some days are better than others, and the thought of my next cheat is all that gets me though sometimes.
I want you to know that CHANGE is possible! You are worth taking care of and I would love to help you get started on your own journey.

Maybe you feel like you eat pretty decent but you have that nagging feeling that you need to change and just don't have the money to fork over for the more expensive protein shakes that you think would do the job.
I have had THE BEST time of my life with this journey!  It is the most fulfilling thing I have ever done.  It beats taking surveys and clipping coupons, that's for sure.
